Very Cool Music Site

Now, I know this isn't TechEd 2006 related but I'm guessing a lot of you will be bring MP3 players of some sort with your favorite music. I was directed to this site by a Chicago DJ named Steve Dahl (WCKG 105.9). You might remember him from Disco Demolition back in the 70's when they blew up disco records in between a double header at a White Sox game.

Anyway, this web site is free to register at and you get to create your own listening channels. You enter a song or artist and then based on information gathered in the Genome Music Project, selects songs for you to listen to.

You can then rate them whether you like them or not and it then provides you another song. If you really like one, you can add it to your favorites and even go to Amazon to buy the album or iTunes to buy the song (probably how this site is free - they may get kick backs from you buying the song).

Anyway, here's the site - It's called Pandora (www.pandora.com)

My Pandora favorite songs and listening stations are listed along the right side of this blog (might have to scroll down a bit).

It's pretty cool. Check it out and perhaps bring some new music with you to TechEd that you might not of otherwise.
